Zoran Radakovic is a full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, where he achieved his BSc (1989), MSc (1992) and PhD (1997) diploma.

As Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow (2001-2002) he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

His working experience in Germany also includes R&D employment in Siemens AG
(2004 - 2007), in the Power Transformers Division in Nuremberg, where he held a position of a specialist for cooling of power transformers.

His main professional field and area of expertise are thermal aspects in power transformer engineering practice, in which he completed many R&D projects, held seminars and worked as a consultant worldwide.

For brain training, he worked on various other R&D projects not directly related to transformers, but to grounding systems, power efficiency - compensation of reactive power and higher harmonics, photovoltaic technology and automatic control. He likes challenges, solving essential problems and applying physical and mathematical modeling in order to acquire results applicable in modern engineering practice. He is open-minded, strongly goal oriented and enjoys working with similarly driven people.

He is currently leading a team of motivated young engineers at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade and is thankful for their hard and productive work, that significantly shortens the process of transforming good ideas into practical applications.
